Signature Trail in Bad Kleinkirchheim, Carinthia
Happy ending at the lake. The singletrail “Alter-Almweg-Trail” starts, as befitting the NOCKBIKE-Region, at an altitude of 1,500 meters at the Kaiserburg – the mountain station of the cable car. And it concludes with legs splashing at the shore of Lake Brennsee. Between the starting point and the destination, experienced bikers can look forward to plenty of technique, flow, and riding enjoyment over the elevation gain.

The Alter Almweg Trail tells many stories – the history of biking in the Nock Mountains and the history of the region.
The existence of the Alter Almweg Trail and other nature trails in the Nock Mountains must be credited to Wolfgang Krainer. This trail was his first success and the combination of flow trail in the upper part, the fantastic natural traverse along the slope in the intermediate section and the challenging, lush green natural trail at the lower part with finish at Lake Feldsee is still an absolute highlight.
The combination is diverse, offers plenty of views and good Carinthian cuisine can be enjoyed in between. With the finish at Lake Feldsee, this combination gets very close to a perfect day of biking.
WORTH KNOWING
Lake Brennsee – or often referred to as Feldsee – is Carinthia’s sports lake. Due to its drinking water quality and warm water temperature, Lake Brennsee is particularly popular among families.
