Signature Trail in Saalbach, Salzburger Land
Singletrail with cult status: It’s a truly special feeling to ride one of the oldest and most beautiful natural trails in the Alps. Riding skills are a prerequisite up here on the alpine pasture – 10 km and 1,000 vertical meters of the finest flow enjoyment at the youngest section of this rustic legend in Saalbach Hinterglemm are the reward for skill.
Signature Trail in Saalbach, Salzburger Land
The Hacklberg Trail is surely one of the most legendary trails in the Alps – mountain biking history has been and is still written here.
The Hacklberg Trail in Saalbach Hinterglemm can be easily accessed by using the SchattbergXpress followed by a short climb back to the Westgipfel. The trail starts flowy – slightly wavy across alpine meadows and always alternating between ascent and decent. It seems like the natural flow trail was invented here. At least, it feels like it. The downhill gradient gives mountain bikers a pleasant speed, suitable for the trail.
The second part of the trail below the Hacklberg Alm was opened in 2014. This section is wavy and leads with many banked curves through the forest. With this, the section has been provided with its own signature, making it the perfect extension of the legendary Hacklberg Trail.
WORTH KNOWING
In the Learn To Ride Park in Saalbach, there are mini versions of five well-known Saalbach trails – including the Little Hacklberg. The perfect practice area for all small and big beginners.
