Caribbean Carinthian: The turquoise blue water of Lake Weissensee is unique. Equally captivating is the MTB single trail that winds its way through the spectacular mountain panorama of the Gailtal Alps down to the lakeshore.
Highlights: A stopover at the Naggler Alm and a subsequent plunge into the cold lake!
Signature Trail in Weissensee
The Weissensee Trail offers natural trail fun and views to the perhaps most beautiful lake in the Carinthian Alps.
At first, the trail meanders rather flat along the slope. We follow curves and bends and get a glimpse of the turquoise blue glistening lake time and again. Benedikt Purner, an Innsbruck mountain bike original, has created the trails here at Lake Weissensee with particular sure instinct. Creating mountain bike trails tailored to this region was very important to him.
Thus, our signature trail disappears again beneath a dense canopy of leaves and continues to follow curves, turns and small terraces. The ground is solid and dark brown unlike the surrounding vegetation which beams in a lush green.
