Fleckalm Trail
Signature Trail in the Kitzbühel Alps
On the hunt for the Great Five. It is one of the 5 “Great Trails” and also one of the longest single trails in Tyrol: the Fleckalm Trail. Over 7.1 km, it goes directly from the mountain station of the Fleckalmbahn at an impressive 1,797 meters above sea level through the Kitzbühel Alps. A true Tyrolean nature experience!
Signature Trail in the Kitzbühel Alps
The Fleckalm Trail in the Kitzbühel Alps is a natural trail for skilled bikers and offers plenty of views.
The route starts along the edge of the piste and leads through a short root-covered forest area. The ski piste is crossed after a short transfer section on the forest path. The brown ribbon of the trail leads from there through lush green alpine meadows.
Having passed the Fleckalm mountain inn, you can look forward to more flow. Fast banked curves and smaller jumps ensure variety in this section. Then you bike along the edge of the forest, across beautiful alpine meadows and finally again through a wonderful forest back to the lower terminus of the Fleckalmbahn cable car.
WORTH KNOWING
The Fleckalmbahn in the Kitzbühel Alps is Austria’s most modern 10-gondola lift, taking you and your bike to an elevation of 1,800 meters in just a few minutes. In 2021, new sections of the Fleckalm Trail were opened, along with a connecting trail to the Hahnenkamm Trail.
INSIDER TIP
Near the mountain station of the Fleckalmbahn is the Ehrenbachhöhensee, located in a scenic spot. A refreshing dip in the lake is allowed. Pack your swim trunks and enjoy the magnificent view from the top.
