Signature Trail in the Kitzbühel Alps
This is how mountain biking in the Kitzbühel Alps looks like: The sun-drenched Suntrail single trail is the perfect introduction to the biking experience in Tirol. Starting at an altitude of 1,340 meters on the Gsengweg, it flows gracefully over the alpine meadows all the way down to the valley in Brixen. A dream tour for chamois and bikers alike.
Signature Trail in the Kitzbühel Alps
The Sun Trail in the Kitzbühel Alps is a natural flow trail – following the natural line of the terrain, you will find a sun blessed bike trail here.
Rays of sunshine flash through the dense canopy of the spruce forest time and again. On the Sun Trail, you play with every new curve, every new wave and every little banked curve. Every now and then, the curves turn into bends and the terrain also varies time and again. The level of difficulty remains beginner-friendly, but skilled bikers also get what their heart desires.
The signature trail crosses a small alpine pasture area in the lower part just to pick up momentum again through the waves and curves along the course of the stream. After the last metres through the Ragginggraben rift, you reach Brixen im Thale again with a big smile.
WORTH KNOWING
Schwarzsee is one of the warmest and arguably most beautiful bathing lakes in the Alps. This moor lake is home to the municipal open-air pool, making it perfect for a refreshing dip after a biking session.
INSIDER TIP
Once a week, the brewing kettle is fired up at the Wilden Gams in Kirchberg in Tirol, and delicious craft beer is brewed, accompanied by small delicacies. A visit is highly recommended.
