Carezza Trail
Signature Trail in Eggental, South Tyrol
Legendary Singletrack: The flowy singletrack at the Karerpass offers plenty of biking fun for both beginners and experienced riders. And it comes with impressive natural experiences in the Dolomites. Here in Eggental, mythical creatures and legends abound at every turn – including on the Carezza Trail. Because on our MTB hero’s journey, we ride on horseback in the footsteps of the mighty dwarf king Laurin and a kidnapped princess.

The Carezza Trail is a narrow and diverse trail with many jumps, waves and curves – a real signature trail.
The Carezza Trail leads along the stream and then through the Nigertal Valley downhill to Welschnofen. There are always two lines from which you can choose. With this, even another ride will not become boring. Especially exciting and impressive are the long wood elements that lead across wetter sections, thus protecting the ground. Biking on wood always feels a bit like Canada, like a little adventure.
The Carezza Trail is ideal as part of a bigger tour around the Rosengarten, Latemar and Lake Carezza – just like in our komoot tip.
WORTH KNOWING
Lake Karersee is situated at 1,502 meters on the edge of the Latemar forest and is nicknamed the “Fairy Tale Lake.” The shimmering colors and picturesque backdrop immediately make one understand why it earned this name and why, according to legend, a water nymph is said to have lived in the lake.
INSIDER TIP
At the Näckler company, you can find traditional “Schüttelbrot” made according to old traditions, where the bread is skillfully and manually shaken by hand. A process that no machine can replace, making Näckler’s “Schüttelbrot” a culinary hidden gem.
